"I love cherry flowers," says designer Caroline Beaupere. "This master bathroom at a house in New Jersey was inspired by hanami, the Japanese tradition of going to see the blossoms as part of a celebration of spring."

"The danger in doing a contemporary bathroom is that it may feel cold," says Pamela Butz, who remodeled this home near Boston with partner Jeffrey Klug. Their answer was a layout that errs on the side of simplicity, but with beautiful, natural substances that "speak for themselves."

At a Cape Cod bath, designer Kyle Timothy Blood created a T-shaped carpet of tile at a Moroccan design. "Did you see how the 'carpet' runs right under the dressing table?" The designer states. The tile and woodwork is from Mosaic House.

The vintage brass console was fitted using a Waterstone Faucets fixture, and also the habit back counter tops and splash are produced with Stone Surfaces' Black Absolute granite.
